The 2010 Abingdon Air and Country show was up against some pretty unfavourable weather conditions and a last minute restriction on the use of the runway for fixed wing aircraft meant aircraft had to operate from surrounding airfields. Despite this the event's first foreign military participation from the RNLAF F-16 and debut 2010 displays from the RAF Hawk, Tucano and Tutor helped deliver an entertaining day for those who braved the wind and rain.

Thankfully the rain cleared early leaving clear air for some rare sights like the beautiful VC10 and muscular C17 Globemaster III. A spirited departure after the show by the OV10 Bronco (which had been 'fuel critical' when it arrived necessarily skirting the runway restriction) was another audio-visual treat.

In this video, introduced by Sean Maffett, we take a 60 second look at the flying display and also speak to the Hawk Display Manager Flt Lt Tom Sawle and pilot Flt Lt Tom Saunders about their new routine. Tucano display manager Flt Lt Martin Wintermeyer introduces the aircraft's Battle of Britain paint scheme and Captain Tobias "Hitec" Schutte talks about the challenges of displaying the RNLAF F-16 in his first year as display pilot.

The full highlights of the show will feature on British Airshows 2010.
