Vulcan Returns: RAF Waddington International Airshow 2008 [DVD]

Each year RAF Waddington plays host to one of the biggest airshows in the UK. The undoubted highlight in 2008 was the return to the airshow scene of Avro Vulcan XH558. This program includes the Vulcan’s emotional return to Waddington and practise display before the event, as well as the aircraft’s main display and formation flypast with the Avro Lancaster.

The RAF Role Demonstration also provided a thrilling spectacle and material from onboard the E3D, Tornado F3s, Chinook and Apache add to the excitement.

Big Thunder Airshow 93 [DVD]

In March 1993 the last airworthy Vulcan XH558 was retired to Bruntingthorpe joining a brace of Lightnings from the same era. Though these aircraft are unable to fly, the prospect of simply hearing them start up and make high speed runs was enough to attract a huge crowd

The airfield, once the home of the giant B47 Stratojet bombers again echoed to the sound of "Big Thunder".

Fighter Meet 94 [DVD]

Fighter Meet is a 2 day event held in May at the former Battle of Britain airfield of North Weald in Essex.

Its reputation has grown to be one of teh foremost events in the aviation calendar and Fighter Meet '94 had the honour of being chosen as the RAF's official D-Day airshow.

USAF Alconbury Tattoo 92 [DVD]

Alconbury base is now home to the USAF's Special Forces units flying the C130 equipped with the FUlton Rescue System. It flies with the giant MH53 helicopter for deep penetration missions. It was a rare treat to see these aircraft displayed jointly with paratroopers.

Also resident at Alconbury is the Lockheed TR1, a development of the infamous U2 spyplane. It is a rare airshow performer and even more unusual to see it fly.

Military Airshow '95 [DVD]

Aviation Action cameras attended over 20 events in 1995 and this video draws on the very best action to present a huge variety of hardware from military inventories - East and West.

The most potent front line jets from the worlds premier airforces share the stage with 8 formation teams, airlifters, trainers, helicopters, and all manner of specialist role aircraft. Rare and spectacular displays include only the second ever UK appearance of the F117A 'Stealth' fighter.

USAF Alconbury Air Tattoo '91 [DVD]

1991 was a special year for Alconbury marking the impending departure of the A10 yet celebrating the type's success in the Gulf War. A big static line up showed off imaginative nose-arts and kill markings and they were joined by many other Gulf 'veterans' USAF and RAF. The DVD, however, concentrates on the flying display with US types prominent. The A10, F15 and TR1 are particularly impressive as is the A7 Corsair II of the Portuguese Air Force performing an extremely rare display.

RAF Brawdy Airshow '91 [DVD]

The midweek airshow in late July has been a regular event and attracts not only a big crowd of holiday makers but also some very rare aircraft. 1991 was no exception with displays by the Italian National Aerobatic team. 'Frecce Tricolori', a Royal New Zealand Air Force Hercules, a Canberra and a very rare Andreasson BA4B. The Irish Air Corps also sent a contingent but the stars were undoubtedly the Czechoslovakian Air Force with the MiG29, MiG23 and L39 Albatross.
