Each year RAF Waddington plays host to one of the biggest airshows in the UK. The undoubted highlight in 2008 was the return to the airshow scene of Avro Vulcan XH558. This program includes the Vulcan’s emotional return to Waddington and practise display before the event, as well as the aircraft’s main display and formation flypast with the Avro Lancaster.

The RAF Role Demonstration also provided a thrilling spectacle and material from onboard the E3D, Tornado F3s, Chinook and Apache add to the excitement.

The RAF was out in force in glorious weather for the Waddington 2006 show and every display item is included on this DVD. As a former bomber and now reconnaissance base it was appropriate to debut the new Sentinal R1, but also to pay a final tribute to the retiring Canberra. We present an extended tribute plus its blistering display.

The RAF Waddington International Airshow is the RAF’s premier public event of the year and despite a poor weather forecast, thousands flocked to the show. Unfortunately the weather caused the cancellation of the second day but not before we’d witnessed some fantastic aerial demonstrations.

This DVD focuses on the flying action and takes footage from the press preview day as well as the Saturday show day. Highlights include the Indian Air Force’s Russian designed Su-30MKI and Ilyushin transport and tanker aircraft.
