The Duxford Year DVD will feature the May, Septmeber and October shows from the Duxford Imperial War Museum.

Flying Legends is Europe's greatest warbird airshow and 2009 was no exception, dozens of aircraft gathered at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford for a spectacular display organised by The Fighter Collection and the IWM.

This official DVD of the show, originally in Broadcast Hi Definition captures all the action from both days of the show. Using multiple ground cameras and in-cockpit minicams, this DVD gets you closer than ever before.

Stars of the show for many was the first display of a Focke Wulf 190 in Europe and the three ship P-51 Mustang formation team - "The Horsemen".

There is a stunning range of aircraft featured in this DVD from an early Bleriot to the new Eurofighter Typhoon. Minicams in some and Flightline cameras give you unique views of start-ups and taxiing.

Highlight of the year for many was an appearance by the Vulcan Bomber and the DVD features its full display. There are displays featured from: Belgian F16, RAF Chinook and Hawk, P40, Me 109, F86 Sabre, Hawker Nimrod, BBMF, Sea Hawk/Seafire pair, P39, 3 Dakotas, Rapides, 2 B17s, Yak 3, Hawker Hunter and of course Spitfires!

The Flying Legends DVD captures all the action from the show. Filmed with multiple Hi-Definition ground cameras and featuring in-cockpit cameras from the Yak 3, De Havilland Rapide, Cub Pair, Team Guinot as well as the Nimrod/Hind pair.

Duxford is also an important centre for restoration and we glimpse some of the activities behind the scenes on the airframe gems destined for future display both static and flying. But this video is about action and virtually every aircraft type to display at Duxford in 1995 on the 5 big show days. The most important newcomer to the Warbird scene in 1991 was the Me109G rebuilt at RAF Benson. Flying in public for the first time at Duxford's September show, the sight of a genuine Me 109 and the sound of its Daimler Benz engine was an enormous thrill.

Never before have so many warbirds been seen in the air together at a UK display!
