RAF Leuchars Airshow 2006 [DVD]

Clear air and gorgeous blue skies provided the backdrop for a memorable Leuchars Airshow. Show favourites like the Red Arrows and Harrier shared the billing with some rare European appearances: the 4 ship Danish Baby Blue Team at the quiet end, the Polish Mig 29 with the noise and the Czech Mi-24 “Hind” helicopter gunship with the looks - sheer aggression.

The BBMF headed up a line-up of historic types that included early jets with a Leuchars connection. The Typhoon - both fighter and trainer displayed - heralded a Leuchars future.

The show highlight though just had to be a sky full of noise, a sky full of power, a sky full of Tornados!

Use the ‘Angle’ button on your DVD remote to switch interactively between ground and cockpit views during the Mi-24 Hind helicopter gunship display.
