Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow 2009 [DVD]
“Airbourne” – the Eastbourne International Airshow is one of the UK’s best seaside airshows. Four days of beautiful weather were the backdrop for the 2009 event, giving the pilots the best possible conditions to display their aircraft and their skills.
Airshow regulars include the Red Arrows and Team Guinot Wingwalkers but Eastbourne attracted displays from further afield too - The Royal Netherlands Air Force’s F-16 flew a dramatic solo display and also joined up with a UK based Spitfire for a formation flypast and dramatic break; presented here with onboard views from both aircraft.
We also go behind the scenes at Shoreham Airport to see display aircraft and pilots preparing for their displays.
Recorded over all four days, this DVD is a comprehensive record of this fabulous show.

Hello Alison and Roadrunner.
We are releasing Airbourne 2009 on Monday, not 3 months (the show finished on August 16) but more than the 8 weeks we'd stated. We're sorry about this but we are sure you will accept the reasons.
The original plan was to make a 40min programme which for £9.99 including a free DVD (that sells on its own for £15.99) would surely be great value for money.
In the event the weather and the show were so good we just could not cut the programme down and it actually runs for double that time (including the interactive in-cockpit bonus's) and so took longer to make.
Also, and this accounted for most of the delay, the Vulcan Trust were desperate for a programme to help them get sponsorship. We shoe-horned this in to what was already a tight schedule (unpaid too!) and everything has got put back a bit as a result. We hope you agree though that the Vulcan is worth supporting. The programme we made for them is on your DVD as a bonus.
This whole issue of lead times for programmes in production is worthy of discussion. We do not seem to be materially different to others making airshow DVD's, indeed RIAT DVD (the show was mid July) is still not out!
The reason we give a free DVD for people placing advance orders is to reward them for their upfront payment and sweeten the pill of having to wait. Is that a fair deal?

I ordered my dvd at the eastbourne airshow and i still haven't recieved it, all this messing about we should get another free dvd sent with our orders for the trouble you have cause with moving the release date

Hi,
You can still order a copy of the Aibourne 2009 DVD and if you order before the DVD has been released you still get the free Airshow Interactive DVD.
There will however be a small delivery charge of £1.44 to cover the additional cost of posting out the free DVD which you would have received at the Air Show.

As an Eastbourne resident I was very interested in buying a copy of Airbourne 2009 complete with free dvd for £9.99 with free post and packing as advertised in our local newspaper when visiting the Planes TV stand on the Wish Tower Lawns.
Unfortunately I did not make it down to the show, but I am asking if I can now purchase at the same price?
