Vulcan to the Sky

The aims of the Vulcan to the Sky Trust are:

  • To preserve Avro Vulcan XH558 & maintain it in working order as the only ex-RAF V-force aircraft capable of flight, as the finest example of its era of British aviation
  • To demonstrate the aircraft in flight to give maximum value to the Nation
  • At the end of its flying life, to retire the aircraft to a National Museum in perpetuity
  • To provide access to the aircraft for the widest possible audience; to involve the public in experiencing the aircraft
  • To advance the awareness & understanding of the general public, by providing interpretation & education based on Avro Vulcan XH558, including its historical, industrial & social context
  • To ensure that the programme is financially sustainable.
