Southport Airshow

Over 60 displays in a spectacular all-action experience from 5 events on 2 DVDs, expertly captured by PlanesTV the UK’s most experienced airshow DVD producer.

The season started with Biggin Hill hosting the debut of the RAF’s spectacular Role Demonstration. The RAF Cosford show was an action packed 1 day event which witnessed remarkable aerobatic displays from the Blades and Denny Dobson.

RAF Waddington saw the ‘home team’ represented with a formation display from the E3D, Nimrod R1 and Sentinal R1, the highlight though was the visiting Indian Air Force who presented their Su-30MKI and Ilyusian transport and tanker aircraft.

The Commando Assault is a spectacular finale to the RNAS Yeovilton display but our season ends at Southport with a Red Arrows display accompanied by pyrotechnics.

Disc 2 includes extended coverage and an interactive in-cockpit video angle during the following displays: The Great War Display Team, Swift Glider, Tigers Parachute Display Team, RAF Tutor, Ultimate High Extra 300, Spirit of Kent Spitfire, B-17 Sally B, Huey, RAF Tucano, Jungmann, RAF Falcons, Belgian F-16, Seafire, Pitts Special, Commando Assault and P-51 Mustang.

As well as all the aerial action at Southport we take a look behind the scenes at Blackpool Airport for some of the aircraft preparing for their displays. The aerial action is the focus though and all the aircraft that displayed feature on this DVD including the Red Arrows, two Spitfires and the Typhoon.
