The worlds oldest flying Spitfire displayed as did the only Mk1a Spitfire – with a cockpit minicam.

As if that were not enough the event boasted the only Hurricane Mk1, a genuine Battle of Britain veteran.

Several ‘Cold War’ jets on display complemented the new and award winning Cold War Museum hangar and the RAF supported the event in force to mark their 90th anniversary; history from the BBMF, team excellence from The Falcons and the Red Arrows, breathtaking performance from the Typhoon and an explosive Role Demonstration of RAF air power.

In March 1993 the last airworthy Vulcan XH558 was retired to Bruntingthorpe joining a brace of Lightnings from the same era. Though these aircraft are unable to fly, the prospect of simply hearing them start up and make high speed runs was enough to attract a huge crowd

The airfield, once the home of the giant B47 Stratojet bombers again echoed to the sound of "Big Thunder".

The '95 Biggin Hill International Air Fair witnessed one of the biggest gatherings of Russian aircraft ever to appear in the West. The astonishing Russian Test Pilots team and their state-of-the-art Sukhoi Su27 "Flankers" contrasted with the nine Yak 52's of the Red Stars Racing team. The Su29 duo tore up to aerobatic rule book whilst the Mig 29 'Fulcrum' simply tore the sky apart.

By popular request, Aviation Action has once again drawn together, in a bumper length video, the highlights from several Shuttleworth Collection airshows. Most of the 1996 events are featured here. Expert videography and, for the most part, excellent weather combine to deliver some of the most spectacular footage ever recorded at the photogenic grass airfield at Old Warden.

RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire hosts the RAF’s premier airshow and this 1 hour video draws on the very best action from 7 events with cockpit cameras in the Lancaster, Tornado and Pitts.

The RAF Waddington International Airshow is the RAF’s premier public event of the year and despite a poor weather forecast, thousands flocked to the show. Unfortunately the weather caused the cancellation of the second day but not before we’d witnessed some fantastic aerial demonstrations.

This DVD focuses on the flying action and takes footage from the press preview day as well as the Saturday show day. Highlights include the Indian Air Force’s Russian designed Su-30MKI and Ilyushin transport and tanker aircraft.

As well as all the aerial action at Southport we take a look behind the scenes at Blackpool Airport for some of the aircraft preparing for their displays. The aerial action is the focus though and all the aircraft that displayed feature on this DVD including the Red Arrows, two Spitfires and the Typhoon.
