PlanesTV cameras recorded all the action at the Sea Harriers' tribute show at RNAS Yeovilton 16 September 2005. The last public display of the dependable British fighter attracted massive crowds hoping for an action packed day, they were not to be disappointed. The RAF was out in force in glorious weather for the Waddington 2006 show. As a former bomber and now reconnaissance base it was appropriate to debut the new Sentinal R1, but also to pay a final tribute to the retiring Canberra. We present an extended tribute plus its blistering display on the Canberra Farewell - Waddington Airshow 2006 DVD.

Navy types, past and present, UK and foreign featured at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton’s 2006 “Air Day”. The RAF supported strongly and the Typhoon appeared for the first time.

It is the Commando Assault finale that Yeovilton is famous for and the Sea Kings, Lynx, Merlins, Harriers, Hawks, Falcons and troops were out in force with explosive effect!
 

RAF Valley in Anglesey is home to the historic No 4 Flying Training School, Strike Commands Air to Air Missile Establishment and also search and rescue helicopters.

The show naturally attracted a big contingent of current and historical RAF types and we include these in Part II including the RAF Valley Solo Display Hawk.

In Part I we show the foreign participants including the national aerobatic teams of Italy and Chile and also some rare privately owned ex-military jets, all of which saw service at Valley at some stage.
