Sea Harrier

Military Airshow presents the highlights from 6 of the UK's premier events in a 90 minute feast of spactacular action. A massive range of military metal from 10 countries including Russia appear in an all action style that will bring hours of pleasure to any aircraft enthusiast.

The Royal Naval Air Stations at Yeovilton and Culdrose are the two biggest in the UK and they each out on a massive show to thousands of visitors in 1994.

The brand new Sea Harrier FRS 2 launches from Yeovilton's 'ski jump' and the Italian Tornado does nearly the same from a hard runway! Indeed, the Italians were out in force at these events with rare and spectacular displays by the new Avanti, G222, MB339 and iced by the Frecce Tricolori, arguably the world's best national aerobatic team.

This short video makes a refreshing change from the UK displays having been drawn from material sent to us by an aircraft enthusiast living in New Zealand. It is not HiFi stereo and the technical quality is a generation below our other videos but the rare sight of a Flair Utility and Royal New Zealand Air Force Skyhawk more than make up.

Airshow aficionados have long held Woodford's June show in great regard for both the variety and the rarity of the display items assembled. For hundreds and thousands though, it's been the Vulcan, the Lancaster and, recently, the Flankers of the Russian Test Pilots that have attracted them to Avro's famous historic site near Manchester.

USAF Mildenhall Air Fete '90

A USAF base, Mildenhall always delivers something special and this year proved to be a vintage one with a Victor in the flying display, and a notable demonstration by FAA Sea Harriers wish FRADU Hunters. A spirited display by a B52 pretending to be an A10 will be lasting memory to many.

The Royal Navy's Sea Harriers made their explosive curtain-call at RNAS Yeovilton's 2005 Airshow.

Clear air and dramatic skies set the stage for a supporting cast of Navy types, past and present, plus RAF and civilian operators. The magnificent South African Airways Boeing 747 nearly stole the show!

The finale was a spectacular attack, demonstrating the awesome capability of the UK's armed forces.
